ITR USA Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain Negotiator Commercial H/T tires, sizes LT265/75R16 and LT235/85R16, produced from April 2009 through May 2011 by China-based Shandong Yongtai Chemical Group Co. Ltd. Potentially, 51,003 units will be affected.
According to a recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Office of Defects Investigation, “Some of the subject tires experience blistering or bubbles on the tire’s sidewall. These tires fail to conform to the requirements Of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 139, ‘New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles.’ This condition may result in a sudden loss of tire pressure, increasing the risk of tire failure and a crash.”
