Festival will focus on Child Safety

Posted on November 7, 2011

According to various news sources, the event on Saturday will focus on prevention and safety regarding awareness for children and their health. The event, which is called Child Safety Day, will be fully sponsored by an insurance company and will be held during a three-hour long period.

According to the articles, representatives from the California Highway Patrol will be present to assure that all vehicles are equipped with safety seats made for children and that the installation of such gadgets are performed with perfection.

Beginning in 2012, all children 5-years-old or younger are required by law to be placed in child restrains. They must also sit in the rear seats according to the new state law. All children ages 8 to 15 are allowed to simply wear adult safety seat belts.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicle accidents are the main cause of children mortality ages 3 to 14. Reports show that 219 lives were allegedly saved because child safety seats kept infants safe.

As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer I admire the initiative and hope that all parents will be fully aware of how to deal with the new law and how to protect their toddlers. Whenever you or a loved one is involved in a car accident where somebody has been injured, remember to contact a car accident lawyer in your area, do no delay.
