Malibu Aims to Become a Bicycle-Friendly Community

Posted on November 18, 2011

According to recent news articles, the Malibu community is looking forward to attracting more bicyclists and becoming a true Bicycle Friendly Community.

The nonprofit organization League of American Bicyclists are allegedly presenting a safety commission to the public to show that the city could ear that title by turning the Pacific Coast Highway into a safer highway.

Drivers and bicyclists alike who would like to share the scenic ride along the coast could share the alluring road if a safer infrastructure could be adopted.

Bikers already have some points to make about how unsafe the Pacific Coast Highway can be.  At this time, both bike activists and the city’s public safety commission are working together to bring awareness and education related to road safety to local drivers and bikers.

As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer I wish that every community could understand how important bicycle safety education truly is. Drivers and bikers alike should learn their rights and responsibilities. Personal injury lawyers know, road safety is something that should be everybody’s priority.

Don’t hesitate to contact a lawyer if you ever see yourself involved in a situation related to an accident that was provoked by the irresponsible and reckless behavior of others.
