Recall Issued For 15.080 Mazda Vehicles

Posted on November 17, 2011

News sources have showed that according to the automaker Mazda, over 15,000 of their vehicles are being recalled after an issue with the gas pedal was noted. The problem may lead the vehicle to crash and it affects all Bongo, Vanette and Delica models.

The company announced that Mazda recalled vehicles must be taken to a dealership so the necessary repairs can be performed. Mazda claims that the accelerator pedals can crack while in use and snap, causing a very complicated situation for the driver.

Although no reports of injuries or accidents linked to the recalled Mazda vehicles were released, the company urges all owners of the 2011/2012 models of Bongo, Vanette and Delica to contact the manufacturer right away.

An official statement wasn’t released to tell consumers when the recall is actually beginning but all owners who have been registered with the company will be contacted about the mechanical issues shortly.

As a Los Angeles car accident lawyer I understand that there are many accidents that are unfortunately caused by the malfunction of mechanical items in a vehicle. When that happens and the manufacturer is obviously neglecting the case and the owner, the victim should always contact a personal injury lawyer right away.
