Recall Issued for GM’s Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain.

Posted on November 7, 2011

According to several news sources, GM has issued a recall of the 2012 GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox. Reports show that an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system has made a recall of the small SUVs necessary. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has ruled the vehicle’s system not up to federal standards.

The recalled Equinoxes and Terrains were manufactured from July 18th through September 6th 2011. GM estimates that a number of 34,000 vehicles were affected, to find the manufacturing date of your car, all you have to do is to look the date from the sticker inside the driver-side door.

This has proven to be an unfortunate recall fro GM since both vehicles are highly successful. According to reports, both models are going to be fully redesigned.

As a Los Angeles car accident attorney I urge all owners of the recalled GM vehicles to contact the manufacturer as soon as possible so something can be done regarding this issue.

Personal injury lawyers can certify that there are many accidents that have been caused by faulty vehicles. You should never wait for an eventual crash to make sure to check your vehicle for possible flaws, also remember to keep up with our blog so you’re always tuned to eventual car recalls.
