According to news sources, a consumer alert has been announced in regards to an undeclared allergen ingredient found in Gollo Brand “Pan Dominicano (Dominican Bread),” which can cause serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if consumed by people with a severe sensitivity to milk.

The company, Gollo Desserts, recalled the 7 oz. packaged product after an undeclared milk allergen was discovered in a routine random sampling conducted by the New York State Department of Agriculture. The packages contain 6 pieces of the recalled product and a UPC code 96321-00220.

There have been no illnesses reported to date due to the consumption of the product.

Consumers with the recalled product can return it to the point of purchase. For questions and additional information, consumers can contact the company directly at 718) 386-4110.

As a San Francisco personal injury lawyer, I’ve seen many products being recalled due to improper labeling and understand the inherent risks associated with such recalls.
