Price Chopper Supermarket Stuffed Clam Recalled

Posted on January 16, 2012

According to news sources, a recall has been issued for Gourmet Stuffed Clams sold at Price Chopper seafood departments due to improper labeling that fails to identify undeclared milk, egg and wheat allergens.

The recalled products have been sold at Price Chopper stores in the period between September 30 through December 30. The product label was reportedly corrected and updated on December 30 to accurately list all previously undeclared ingredients contained in the recalled product. The recall has a code 209181. People with sensitivity or allergy to milk, wheat or egg products risk severe or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the recalled product.

Consumers with the recalled clam product can return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or contact the company directly at 1-800-666-7667, option 3 for more information.
