Recall: Carlisle FoodService Melamine Mugs

According to news sources, Carlisle FoodService Products is recalling about 111,000 units of its food service beverage cups and mugs due to the products posing a burn hazard.

The recall announcement was made after the company received reports of three incidents taking place that involved the cups and mugs breaking. The recalled mugs and cups can potentially break if exposed to hot liquids. Consumers can identify the recalled product by model numbers 33056, 43056, 43546, 43870, KL300, KL111, 4510, 4812, and 4816, which are located at the bottom of the cups and mugs. There have been no reported injuries to date.

The recalled product has reportedly been sold nationwide during the period between January 2011 through January 2012.
