James M. Trotter
James M. Trotter is an attorney with Panish | Shea | Boyle | Ravipudi LLP and focuses his practice on catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, including truck and auto collisions, product defects, dangerous conditions of public roadway and premises liability.
In 2019, Mr. Trotter assisted firm attorneys Thomas Schultz and John Shaller in obtaining a seven-figure settlement on behalf of the widow of a young man struck and killed by a taxi cab while riding his motorcycle. He also assisted attorneys Spencer Lucas and Marguerite Sanvictores in obtaining a seven-figure settlement on behalf of a bicyclist who was severely injured after being struck by a trash truck.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Trotter worked at another consumer law firm in Los Angeles as a summer clerk where he developed his skills and learned how to passionately and successfully represent clients in a wide range of cases and circumstances.
A member of the State Bars of California and Nevada, Mr. Trotter received his J.D. from Loyola Law School where he was a Staffer, and later a Note & Comment Editor, for the International and Comparative Law Review. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors of Arts in History and the Program of Liberal Studies and an active member of both the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC).
