Sean Manee

Usawin Sean Maneewongwathana (“Sean Manee”) is an attorney at Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP who specializes in childhood sexual assault cases. Mr. Manee is currently representing abuse survivors against the Boy Scouts of America, the Catholic Church, county institutions such as MacLaren Hall, and various school districts.

 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Manee represented victims of some of California’s most devastating wildfires caused by utility companies including the 2021 Dixie Fire, the 2019 Kincade Fire, the 2018 Camp Fire, the 2018 Woolsey Fire, the 2017 North Bay Fires, the 2017 Thomas Fire, and the 2015 Butte Fire. His practice focused on recovering property damage and other economic losses, as well as compensation for emotional distress. His work has led to over $250 million in settlements for wildfire victims.

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Mr. Manee moved to the United States at 12 years old. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside and received his juris doctorate degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. As a law student, he competed in the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (VICAM), was an intern at the District Attorney’s Office of Riverside County every year, and served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Anthony J. Battaglia in the Southern District of California.

Mr. Manee is a member of the State Bar of California, the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA), Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD), and the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court. Outside of work, he enjoys running and rock climbing.
