Srinivas Hanumadass is a trial attorney at Panish | Shea | Boyle | Ravipudi LLP and focuses his practices on catastrophic injury cases. Mr. Hanumadass, known as “Vas”, believes it to be an honor to be asked to be the voice of someone who needs help and takes that moral and legal responsibility seriously. He believes in the old adage of his high school cross-country coach, Mr. Newton, who believed “the greatest thing in life is not in never having fallen, but in rising up again.” Pursuing justice on behalf his clients and living up to Mr. Newton’s creed gives Mr. Hanumadass a driving sense of purpose to maximize results for his clients.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Hanumadass was a former defense lawyer and switched to the plaintiff’s side of law in 2015. In that time, he became a partner at a well-renowned San Diego plaintiff’s personal injury law firm and attained numerous multi-million results along the way.
Recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer since 2017, Mr. Hanumadass actively participates as a leader in the legal community and beyond. He has served two terms as president of the South Asian Bar Association of San Diego, one term as vice president of the San Diego County Bar Association, and was past Scholarship Committee Chair of the Lawyers Club of San Diego, whose mission is to promote women in the law and society. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors and the Diversity Committee for the Consumer Attorneys of California and he is a member of the American Association of Justice’s Diversity, Minority Caucus and Membership Oversight committees. He mentors students and fosters youth transition with the group “Just in Time.”
Mr. Hanumadass earned a J.D., cum laude, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he was a member of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and a fellow at the Center for Global Legal Studies and has a Bachelor of Science degree in History from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. A graduate of the American Association for Justice’s Leadership Academy and the Consumer Attorneys of California Leadership Academy, he is also a recent recipient of the “Outstanding Service to Community Award” from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL).
In his free time, Mr. Hanumadass loves attending live music concerts, theatre and variety shows. As a born and bred Chicagoan, he lives and dies with his hometown sports teams and his college team, the Wisconsin Badgers.
